Why I'm All About August
From the desk of A.E. Bennett
Well, hey there y’all!
A lot of folks call this time of year “the dog days of summer” but August has always been one of my favorite months.
First, it’s my birthday month. (Cue the celebration noises!)
Now that I’m in my early 40s, I like to think of myself as well-seasoned, instead of middle-aged. I’ll be celebrating soon with a much-needed vacation, but right now I’m still plugging away at my desk. I only have five more chapters to get down in order to finish this first draft! Exciting!
I’m also taking time to outline my marketing goals for the rest of this year. Unfortunately, books don’t sell themselves! But don’t worry - I’m not all work, no play. I’ll certainly be spending plenty of time by the pool, too.
I have lots more to share, so keep reading…
Wrapping Up The Write Women Book Fest
If you follow me on my socials, you’ll know that I had a fantastic time at the final Write Women Book Fest last month.
While I’m sad that the organizers don’t plan on bringing this con back next year, I totally get that they need a break. This was a well-organized event and it was clear everyone put in a lot of hard work.
I am so grateful I was able to be a part of it!
